While it has its roots in other tarot-related events that previously appeared in Timișoara, the tarot workshop is a monthly study group usually hosted at the Cărturești Mercy bookshop. As I have always deeply believed in my heart that one thing that usually brings tarot lovers together is a deep desire to learn and discover the world once again through the cards (perhaps accompanied by a few other sweet treats to keep us focused on it), the tarot study workshop became manifest on the night of Halloween in 2025.

Its recipe consists of colorful crayons, worksheets, and meaningful, open-hearted discussions about the meaning of the cards and their mapping of the multitudes of worlds we live in.

The event is completely free of charge, though it exists on our desire to learn from each other and create space for new, emerging ideas. As it resides in a space of deep reverence for learning, our study group revolves around philosophical themes, art, and mythologies that enrich us holistically, as many of our guests are not (yet) declared tarot-savvy individuals.

For now, the tarot workshop has hosted The Hanged Man, The Star, and also The Wheel of Fortune, though all cards have either swiftly passed or wait for their turn to come.
